Monthly Progress March – No More CC Debt!

I know this post is ridiculously late. I have no excuse, I just haven’t been as diligent in reporting as I had hoped I would be initially.

For that reason I have decided that I will start using NetWorthIQ to track my monthly progress because it is a fill in the blanks kind of tracking and I clearly can’t handle anything more sophisticated than that at the present time 😉

Since I haven’t been using NetWorthIQ this entire time I had to back-fill it with data, approximating in certain areas so March and April will look a bit off as far as math goes, but May is accurate and my future updates will progress from May’s update.

On to the nitty gritty-

March was a great month and we hit one of those milestones that makes you say, ‘this is what its all about’. We are officially credit card debt free as of March! Here are the numbers, and I will explain some about them after the break.

March - Assets

March - Assets

March - Debt

March - Debt

You will probably notice that we have a few new things on here compared to my February progress update. We closed on an investment property which I will be posting about in the near future. We are up some major cash which was a rebate from the investment property, part of which is tied up in an escrow account so I didn’t put that down as “cash” but as “other assets”.

Our stock has climbed somewhat since the beginning of the year, though we are still in the hole like everyone else but a positive change is definitely a good thing.

You will also notice the value of both our properties has increased. This is based on a few different estimation websites and I wouldn’t say that it is 100% accurate. The investment property was purchased below market value as it was in foreclosure so the increase in value for that I would say is accurate but our residential home value is probably ballooned a bit, though we are continually making improvements to the home and property.

The percentages shown are very skewed as I am playing catchup and back-filling much of this info based on May so just ignore those for now.

I think March was a great month and really put us on the road towards our goals. Aprils update will be coming soon, then May!

Thanks man, it really does feel good to lose that debt weight. And since technically this all happened a few months ago, I can honestly say I plan to keep it off 😉
