Linkworthy: Simplicity, Ignorance, and Stay at home Moms
Another week..oops, I missed one! So these are some from the past two weeks.
First up, I thought this post was really inspiring. Simple Life in France shares a story of one of her readers who basically gave up everything to move to Portugal and now lives on about $5,000 a year with much that sustains her and her partner acquired through bartering and living off the land. It’s a pretty amazing story..as is the blog itself. Living abroad is really interesting to me and even more so when living so frugally.
Other greats this and last week:
It’s amazing how little most people know about finance. Check out these studies: Personal finance: Most Americans don’t get it
This post by Darwin’s Finance really rings true. My wife is a stay at home mom, and I see these sacrifices that she takes to do that for our family. The Hidden Cost of Staying Home with the Kids
This was pretty funny (Video) and explains what many feel is happening to the credit card industry. Credit Card Reform in Action
And this..was actually quite disgusting at some points but really interesting as well: The 13 Most Disgusting Ways to Save Money in 2008!
