My Financial Foul Up

I have talked about my mistakes before and when I was invited by Brian from My Next Buck to share one of my big financial foul ups, I couldn’t refuse. Here’s a little snip of the situation.

Last year, I was given the opportunity to invest in a rental property. To me, this was a great opportunity. The information I was provided about the deal seemed solid, the company backing the deal seemed wise and trustworthy and I was very excited that I was able to participate. The opportunity did kind of fall into my lap though, and I didn’t want it to stress me out if I didn’t qualify so I took a somewhat lax approach to the whole process.

Hop on over and read up on my mistake and what I learned from it. You can also check out the previous entries to Brian’s great Foul up series that features some of the other great PF bloggers around.

It always stinks when you trust someone and they let you down. Especially when you aren’t as experienced in that area as they are. We have to learn our lessons through experience sometimes though! Next time, you’ll know better. 🙂

I sure hope I will 🙂 and ya, the worst part is probably that a relative of mine got me into it (isn’t that how it always happens) and so it hurts the relationship there. He got burnt far worse than I though, and it was his buddy that worked for teh company. Live and learn..
