I have gathered many cloth and canvas bags at different conventions attended throughout the years and never really knew what to do with them. Now I keep them in my car to use as "Green" shopping bags when I go to the store. You can now buy larger ones at stores with some specifically designed to carry frozen foods and such. Kmart has a great LARGE green bag that can carry almost half a shopping cart full of stuff, if it isn't too heavy to tote.

I also found a neat, money saving, advantage to carrying my own bags. Last time I went shopping I recieved one of those store coupons that come with your receipt. It would give me 10% off my next shopping order if used before the end of the month. I usually just lose these or forget to use them before the expiration date, so I usually just throw them away. Apparently on my last shopping trip I forgot to take the reciept and this coupon out of my cloth bag. So this time when I got to the check-out ready to pay I opened my bag and there was the coupon. I handed it to the cashier and got $10 off my purchase. That was a pretty good discout coupon, don't you think.

So remember to carry your own bags to the grocery store, put your coupons in the bag for the next purchase, and happy Money Saving.

Mother Nature in So.
